Had a great trip to Echo Lake in the Mount Vernon area of Maine past spring. Although the weather was mild it played a major part in the adventure, trying to locate some of the stocked trout that the lake is known for. A short trip which is available all year long. Is a trip to Madison to fly fish the Kennebec River. I have many fish and photos of the area that I post to Instagram. The fishing is great when the water is high. You can catch splake, brookies, salmon, rainbow, and browns for cold blooded fish, which they call a Kennebec grand slam.
